Liposuction 1-2 areas
Liposuction of one or two areas surgery is intended to reshape the body silhouette through liposuction. Each area is defined as what the palm of the hand covers. It can be combined with a lipotransfer.

What is the surgical technique like?
Thanks to diluted local anesthesia (Klein’s solution), we can numb the areas before performing the liposuction. Using small incisions (approximately 3 mm), a liposuction cannula is inserted into the areas we want to shape. If it is combined with a lipotransfer, the fat that is removed is washed and centrifuged to purify it. It will then be ready for the lipotransfer in the specified areas. The areas where lipotransfer is most frequently performed are the buttocks, breasts, face, and the backs of the hands.
What type of anesthesia is needed?
It can be performed with diluted local anesthesia that contains local anesthesia to avoid bleeding.
What is the postoperative period like?
The local anesthesia contains adrenaline, so it will last 6–10 hours. When this effect wears off, you may feel moderate pain, which is easily controlled with painkillers. The pain will improve within a period of 48 to 72 hours.
When can I return to my everyday life?
Returning to sports or recreational activities will be approximately 2–3 weeks, always taking into account the use of sunscreen. However, work activities can be restarted in as little as 2 days depending on your progress. The swelling of the suctioned areas lasts for a few weeks, and it’s important to know that the final shape will be properly visible after the third month of the postoperative period. The patient will wear a special compression garment for a period that is generally 1–2 months.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any other treatment before or after the procedure?
Normally we recommend 2 cavitation sessions during the two weeks prior to liposuction.
After lipo-sculpting, we recommend presotherapy (lymphatic drainage mode), 2 weekly sessions, and lymphatic drainage. As soon as manual lymphatic massage and cavitation are tolerated. The next step is vacuum therapy and radiofrequency, so that the result is as good as possible.
How long does the procedure take?
This will depend on the number of areas, the amount of fat, and each patient’s anatomical characteristics. A lipotransfer extends the operation by 30–60 minutes. In general, the total time will be 1–2 hours.
