Thread Lifts

In the world of aesthetic medicine, progress and discoveries never stop. One of the advances that has revolutionized the field is the use of thread lifts. This treatment, which has gained popularity in recent years, is an innovative technique that promises anti-aging results with a natural appearance.

Thread lifts are fine sutures that are inserted beneath the skin to lift and tighten areas that have become loose. These threads can be made from different materials, shapes, and implantation techniques, but they all have the same goal: to provide a lifting effect without the need for surgery. Thread lifts are especially effective for treating sagging cheeks, loss of definition in the jawline, and neck laxity.

In addition to their lifting effect, thread lifts also stimulate collagen production in the skin, improving its quality and density. This collagen-stimulation effect can be especially beneficial for patients under 50, since these patients still have a strong ability to regenerate their own collagen. Frequently Asked Questions

The effects of bioreabsorbable threads can last up to two years, although everything will depend on each person’s ability to generate collagen. After those two years, the result will always be better than doing nothing, since during that time the skin has been strengthening itself and stimulating its own collagen.

There are some contraindications for the use of thread lifts. These include an allergy to the material from which the threads are made, as well as problems in patients with blood clotting disorders, poorly controlled diabetes, or autoimmune diseases. In these cases, this treatment is usually contraindicated.

The treated area may be slightly swollen and mildly uncomfortable for a few days. Small bruises may appear and typically disappear during the first week. However, if the procedure is performed correctly, it should not leave scars.

The threads are so fine that they do not cause discomfort for the patient. In addition, the procedure is usually carried out with local anesthesia, so pain is minimal.

There may be some swelling in the treated area after the injection. But you should be able to see the final result of your filler treatment after 10–14 days.

Thread lifts are a suitable protocol to do before summer begins. The goal of thread lifts is to stimulate collagen and elastin production around the threads in order to create a lifting effect in the skin, combating sagging and improving density.
