Cheek and Cheekbone Filler
As the years go by, the fullness of the cheeks gradually diminishes and the triangle of beauty is reversed. With fillers, we can restore the appearance you had in your youth and emphasize the cheekbones of someone who wants them to look more prominent. Jaw underdevelopment can also be improved.
With the years, the face’s bone structure changes, the tissues become looser, and the cheeks drop, accentuating the under-eye hollow and the lower bony rim of the eyes. But with filler, we can build the cheekbones and redefine them again, lifting the descended tissue. When injecting filler into the middle third of the face, a tightening or stretch of the face occurs, including the nasolabial folds.
In the vast majority of cases, we use Teoxial fillers:
- Ultra Deep of 1.2 ml to place it above the bone. Static filler, less elastic, and long-lasting.
- RHA 4 of 1.2 ml to place it in the muscle or on top of it. Dynamic filler, more elastic, and long-lasting.
We will choose the type of filler that best adapts to each situation, as they have different characteristics.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does cheek reshaping or cheekbone filler hurt?
Before the treatment, we apply an anesthetic cream to the area so that the injections are less uncomfortable. But the pain is short-lived, and since there is additional anesthesia (lidocaine) in Teoxane products.
How long does the filler last in the cheekbones?
The effect is temporary; the added volume lasts approximately 12 to 18 months. In an initial consultation, we will study your needs and explain all aspects of the treatment clearly.
What is the treatment like?
Filler treatment does not require any special preparation and takes approximately 30 minutes. Your cheekbones will be slightly swollen for a few days after the treatment, and you can see the final result after approximately 14 days. Immediately after the treatment, you can return to your daily routine.
Can we smooth wrinkles around the eyes?
Deep wrinkles around the eyes or periorbital wrinkles can be reduced with the help of fillers or Botox, which for this area is the treatment of choice. It may be necessary to combine both techniques.
With fillers, wrinkles around the eyes can be smoothed in two ways that are also complementary:
- Injecting superficial Teoxial RHA 1, which has a smoother texture than the product we use in the lips. The product is placed very superficially under the skin in the wrinkle.
- Injecting deeper into the area with either Teoxial RHA 4 or Ultradeep, which tightens the area around the eyes and achieves a firmer appearance.
* We emphasize that filler treatment does not guarantee the same result for everyone. The treatment must be individualized, and results may vary from person to person.
