What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an ultrapure hyaluronic acid, formed by thermal stabilization, with high and low molecular weight chains. It has a duration comparable to a low cross-linking gel and an excellent ability to integrate into tissues, expanding evenly.
How can the Profilo treatment help me?
The function is to hydrate, add radiance, and stimulate biorremodeling of the dermis by promoting the production of collagen fibers, increasing their consistency and elasticity. The combination of all these elements results in a natural lifting effect.
How does this treatment work?
Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid helps facilitate the distribution of nutrients and contributes to maintaining skin homeostasis.
High molecular weight hyaluronic acid helps maintain the structural stability of tissues, as it acts as a physiological skin expander, smoothing facial expressions and giving a more even, firmer appearance.
How many sessions are needed?
Profhilo treatment recommends two sessions, with a one-month interval between them, followed by a maintenance session in the six months thereafter.
Specialized staff will assess the patient during the first appointment to study the skin’s level of aging, perform an individualized diagnosis, and advise on the recommended treatments and sessions.

How long does Profhilo last?
How long the product lasts varies from person to person, as it is determined by genetic factors and lifestyle. In all cases, treatment results in stronger, healthier skin with deep tissue hydration.
The product has a shelf life of approximately 28 days. During that period, the skin is stimulated to form collagen and elastin. Results begin to appear after one week and continue developing as skin quality improves.
Is the treatment painful?
Thanks to the application of anesthetic cream and the application technique, which minimizes the number of punctures, it is not a painful treatment.
Is this a dangerous treatment?
Hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed into the tissue.
Bruising, swelling, and redness may appear in the treated area, and will disappear in the days following the treatment.
If you have previously had herpes outbreaks (cold sores) in the area, you should inform your doctor before having the treatment, as possible outbreaks can be prevented with medication.
Local infection occurs rarely, as strict aseptic measures are taken.
Should I take any precautions after the treatment?
You should avoid touching the treated area for approximately 4 hours after the treatment to reduce the risk of infection.
You can resume work immediately after the treatment.
Swelling, bruising, and redness may appear in the treated area; this is completely normal and resolves within 1–3 days.
Until the inflammation in the treated area goes down, you should not expose it to excessive heat, such as the sun, sauna, or solarium.
If swelling, redness, pain, or heat occurs in the treated area during the first month, contact the clinic immediately.
