Carboxitherapy
Reduces cellulite, combats sagging, and restores skin firmness with Carboxitherapy
Infiltrations of carbon dioxide under the skin are effective in combating cellulite, localized fat, or sagging.
Frequently asked questions
What is carboxitherapy?
Using an extremely fine needle, carbon dioxide (CO2) is introduced under the skin to activate microcirculation, increase tissue oxygenation, reduce cellulite, and help destroy it.
As a result, during sessions that improve the appearance of the skin, reduce the volume of the treated area, improve sagging, reduce cellulite, improve stretch marks, and relieve the feeling of heaviness.
How is it applied, and what is the mechanism of action of carboxitherapy?
Microinjections or subcutaneous infiltrations, depending on whether you want to target the skin level or the subcutaneous fat level.
This treatment is performed with a specialized device that uses very fine needles through which gas (medicinal carbon dioxide) is inoculated into the skin. It is very important to control the dose of carbon dioxide, the gas flow rate, and the length of time the infiltration lasts. By applying carbon dioxide (CO2), our body releases catecholamines, serotonin, and histamine—neurotransmitters that allow relaxation of the subcutaneous tissue and vascular dilation, as a direct consequence of increased blood flow and greater oxygenation of the treated area, which reduces accumulated fat, cellulite, stretch mark lines, and scars.
Is it painful?
Except for mild discomfort in the application area and slight redness that lasts for a few minutes. Some minor bruising may appear at the injection site, but it will disappear within a few days.
How long does the treatment last?
Each session usually lasts about 30 minutes, and results begin to be noticeable approximately starting from the sixth session, depending on the area.
How many sessions are needed?
Both the number of sessions needed to treat the area and the results obtained with carboxitherapy depend on each person’s characteristics. In any case, we recommend at least between 10 and 20 sessions (two or three times per week).
What results can you expect?
Results will start to be noticeable and visible from the fifth or sixth session.
You will improve the quality of your skin, in its texture and appearance.
The person can resume their normal activities at the end of each session.
Are there any contraindications for carboxitherapy?
Carboxitherapy is contraindicated for people with liver, respiratory, cardiac, and kidney problems.
It should also not be used by cancer and diabetes patients, anyone who has any type of infection in the areas that will be treated, or by pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding.
